Martha and Rachel Take on Cincy

Martha [Stewart] & Rachel [Ray] that is...

As you all know, my dear friend Col and I recently made our way into the the great big world. We are adjusting well to our new home, 3417 Erie Ave., #404. [We encourage you all to visit!] There are many, many perks to our new lifestyle, one of which is NOT home-cooked meals. Thursday we decided Lean Cuisines and mac 'n cheese was not gonna cut it. Thus we decided "gourmet all the way".

Behold the final creation of my "gourmet" genius. Whole wheat penne, broccoli, chicken & alfredo. Yuum in our tums!

Our *adorable* Valentine's Day decorations, compliments of Anna. We love them! So cute and cheerful.

This is the table, all set with our spinach salads and homemade lemon dressing, courtesy of Col. Let's be honest. This is pretty cute. We think we're pretty good at being domestic for beginners.

Chef Col, overseeing the chicken, pasta and broccoli on our gas stove top. [Fact: We know both Martha & Rachel would prefer a gas cooktop, but these domestic divas would prefer electric. The gas makes us a little nervous!] Note that "the cabinet" is still with us after all these years. We got in the first week of freshmen year and it has been a loyal staple of our living space ever since. We have plans to put some fun, new knobs from anthro on soon.

A college education and I still end up flippin' burgers - I mean chicken! But it's for me to eat, and not others, so I am okay with that!

That wraps up my first post! We are still putting the final touches on the apt., but will slowly post pics as we decorate, etc. Can't wait for Maggie, Kim & Latta to see the place in person in just a few short weeks. Everyone, get busy posting!

The blog begins! Welcome ladies, to our new domain and method for sharing the new (mis)adventures of our "adult" lives. Everyone should kindly write a short bio for themselves and send to me with your preferred email for logging into the blog! I need to make you all authors so that you have posting capabilities.

Post whatever, whenever! You can share links, upload photos, write about something funny that happened to you - whatever suits your fancy really! I'm excited to start sharing and exchanging stories this way. It seems to make more sense than email to me - as the blog will archive all our old memories and over time develop into a scrapbook of sorts.

Also, on posts, make sure to include labels, such as your name and anything else pertaining to that specific post, which will make it easier to sort through posts over time!

Much love to you all! Jules
